Documentary filmmaker Eleanor Coppola - who died in 2024 - filmed during the shoot in 2005, but the documentary was never completed.
Her daughter has now edited the 80 hours of footage, according to her mother's wishes. It will be released to the public by production company Mubi, which has purchased the global rights to the documentary.
“She was on set both as a filmmaker and as my mother, so I found it very moving to go through the footage and see our shoot through her eyes,” Sofia Coppola said in a statement.
The exact release date is unknown.
