The album "Burning moonlight" was supposed to be released in February, but after Marianne Faithfull passed away on January 30, at the age of 78, it was postponed. Now it will be released instead on June 6, on Record Store Day, writes The Guardian.
"Marianne lived to create and perform music – it was her driving force and she never stopped. Right up until the end, she looked forward to this release, which now completes and celebrates her outstanding artistic career", says the artist's son Nicholas Dunbar in a statement.
The EP is inspired by the artist's two first debut albums, which were released simultaneously on January 15, 1965. It is the first music by Faithfull to be released since the album "She walks in beauty with Warren Ellis" came out in 2021.
