Swede Maria McBride, formerly Maria Hjorth, has won the US Open senior major, with another Swede, Annika Sörenstam, close behind.
McBride finished the competition at six under par, two strokes ahead of Sörenstam.
During her professional career, McBride won five times on the LPGA Tour, and she played for Europe in the Solheim Cup five times. Annika Sörenstam won the US Open on the senior tour in 2021.
