Marcus Kinhult's Birdie Blitz Propels Him Up 39 Spots in Shanghai

The Swedish golfer Marcus Kinhult offered a birdie fireworks display on Easter Eve in Shanghai. After nine birdies, Kinhult went through the third round at seven under par and climbed a whole 39 places in the European Championship tournament.

Besides nine birdies, Marcus Kinhult also made two bogeys on Saturday. With 64 strokes for the day (–7), the Swede had the best result in the starting field during the third round.

Kinhult was unfortunately +2 after two days of play, but climbs significantly in the results list and is now in a shared 18th place at –5 total.

Up to the leading duo Li Haotong, China, and Eugenio López-Chacarra, Spain, it is seven strokes. Both are at –12 with 18 holes left to play on Sunday.
