Forward Marcus Johansson (Minnesota) and defenseman Hampus Lindholm (Boston) will be named to Tre Kronor's Olympic squad for the ice hockey tournament in Milan. The duo will replace injured Leo Carlsson (Anaheim) and Jonas Brodin (Minnesota), Tre Kronor announced on X.

Marcus Johansson, 35, has had a great season in Minnesota - 34 points (13 goals and 21 assists) in 48 games - and many wanted to see him in the Olympic squad from the start. Now he is being picked as a replacement for star Leo Carlsson, who had thigh surgery.

Hampus Lindholm, 32, has been injured in recent years, but has played most of this season. He is listed with 3 goals, 16 points and a -10 in the plus/minus statistics.

Tre Kronor will meet Italy in the Olympic opener on February 11. Finland and Slovakia are also included in the Swedish group.
