Andretti driver Ericsson staged a strong comeback and secured victory after overtaking his former Formula 1 rival Romain Grosjean.
It was his fifth victory in IndyCar and his first since the win in St. Petersburg, Florida, in 2023.
"It's been a long wait but we've worked so hard, so this is no surprise. We've gotten stronger and stronger throughout the year. We really deserve this," Ericsson told Fox Sports.
Felix Rosenqvist was forced to retire early in the race.
