Marco Silva has been in charge of the London club for five years and took Fulham to the team's Premier League points record in 2025.
"Fulham will always be in my heart, and sooner or later I will be back at Craven Cottage," the Portuguese said in a statement.
According to British reports, Silva is expected to replace compatriot José Mourinho on the coaching bench at Portuguese top club Benfica.
Mourinho is reportedly set to return to Real Madrid, and the move is expected to become official after Real's presidential election on June 7, the BBC reports.
