The 36-year-old star continues over the coming Olympic Games season, he confirms on Instagram.
It has been 197 days since the injury, it has gone pretty well and I can start training again. It's super fun and I'm ready for another season, he says.
Hirscher made a surprising comeback last season, when he changed national team from Austria to the Netherlands, but tore his cruciate ligament in training after just three completed competitions.
Hirscher retired in 2019 as one of the best alpine skiers in history with two Olympic Games gold medals, seven World Championship gold medals and 67 World Cup victories.
Hirscher finished in 23rd place in the giant slalom premiere in Sölden last season, his only fully completed World Cup competition.
