Two out of ten Swedish customers of the charging company Ionity charged their cars somewhere outside the country's borders during June. In July, the proportion was four out of ten.
"Our data shows that Swedish electric car drivers are increasingly using their cars for longer trips and holidays around Europe," says regional manager Martin Risberg in a press release.
The most common country for Swedes to charge in was Germany, followed by France, Denmark and Italy. Some have gone as far as Croatia or Spain, according to the company.
According to the company, the information is based on data from thousands of Swedish customers with charging subscriptions.
