At least eight people have died when a six-story residential building collapsed in central Cairo on Tuesday.
Nine ambulances were dispatched to the scene and rescue workers are searching for more bodies, according to a statement from Egypt's Health Department.
Buildings adjacent to the collapsed residential building in the Waili district were evacuated as a precautionary measure. The cause of the building's collapse is being investigated.
