The floodwaters reach residents to their waists and many are unable to leave their homes or hotels due to the amount of water.
Local TV channels show images of people being evacuated by boats, jet skis and military vehicles. Among other things, the tourist resort of Hat Yai is under water.
Over 1,200 people have been evacuated from their homes in the province since Thursday.
Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul announces that more boats and trucks will be deployed in the evacuation effort.
