In an interview with German Sportschau, the 40-year-old confirms that the match against Paraguay was his last for the national team.
"It's very bitter to end this way," says the Bayern Munich player.
Shortly before the World Cup, Neuer made a comeback to the national team after a two-year absence and was selected as the starting goalkeeper.
Germany lost to Paraguay on penalties after a 1–1 draw after full time.
