The penalty is tightened to 14 years in prison for the man who was convicted of having shot another man in Gislaved in April. At the same time, four others are completely acquitted, reports P4 Jönköping.

It was in the evening of April 17 that a man in his 25-year-old was found outdoors with gunshot wounds. At the same time, another man had been severely assaulted.

In addition to the shooter, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison in the district court, four more people were convicted of assault in the lower instance. All four are acquitted in the court of appeal.

The police link the events to an ongoing gang conflict.
