Manchester City, under new coach Enzo Maresca, had a tough start in the first round of the Premier League.

Visiting Bournemouth, who also have a new coach in Marco Rose, took the lead through Marcus Tavernier.

In the second half, City pushed for an equaliser. But it took until the 85th minute. Then Marc Guehi stepped up and made it 1-1. Minutes later, Josko Gvardiol completed the turnaround when he made it 2-1 and secured Manchester City's first victory of the season.

In the parallel match between Brighton and Aston Villa, there were plenty of goals. Brighton won 4-0 after an incredible first half. Sweden's national team captain Victor Nilsson Lindelöf scored an own goal.
