Last year, Pournouri filed a lawsuit against the companies linked to Tim "Avicii" Bergling and controlled by his family.
The reason, according to the Norwegian Dagens Næringsliv, was that he had been identified as responsible for Bergling's mental illness and suicide in 2018.
According to lawyer Thomas Olsson, representing the companies being sued, the case has been discontinued because the application did not meet the requirements for such a lawsuit.
"One can only hope that this is a clear message to him to leave this issue behind," Olsson tells Aftonbladet.
Pournouri recently left "Idol" after two years on the jury.
