At the end of September last year, the man posted the ad on Blocket and it quickly went viral. The man, who lives in Småland, wrote that he had caught his partner cheating on the couch and that it had been “cleansed of everything except bad memories.”
The ad received over 700,000 views and the sofa was then sold for 10,000 SEK.
The man described the move as making "a fun thing" out of something boring. His ex-partner disagreed and sued the man for gross defamation. Now he is being prosecuted, writes SVT Nyheter.
The ex-partner is demanding 50,000 SEK in damages.
