The man claims he only fired a shot to scare someone after an altercation. However, a coworker was hit in the chest during the shooting on Vätterstranden in Jönköping this summer.

Now the man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison, which P4 Jönköping, among others, has reported.

Another colleague risked being hit. Jönköping District Court therefore sentenced the man, who is in his 30s, to two counts of attempted murder and aggravated weapons offenses.

"The district court has determined that it is proven that the defendant fired two shots directly at the plaintiffs and that one shot hit one of the plaintiffs in the chest," said Councilor Sven Gudmundsson in a press release.
