The man was sentenced to one year in prison for animal cruelty and vandalism.
According to Umeå District Court, the man deliberately ran over the reindeer and then slit their throats. The incident was filmed by his friends, which was important evidence in court.
The reindeer belonged to Rans Sami village and were all expecting calves.
