The attack, which was planned for a concert in Vienna in August 2024, was averted. Tens of thousands of “Swifties” had traveled to Austria for three concerts that were part of the world star’s “Eras Tour” - all three were canceled.
The now 21-year-old man has admitted to all charges related to the concert in Vienna, his lawyer said. He allegedly planned to use knives or homemade explosives to target the crowd outside the Ernst Happel Stadium where the concert was to take place.
He has denied allegations of planning other attacks.
