The man is suspected of trying to recruit young people to commit serious violent crimes across the country.
According to prosecutor Anna-Sara Karlsson, he has acted on behalf of various criminal gangs and is in custody on suspicion of involvement in three murders in Örebro and Linköping.
However, the investigation includes thousands of ads on encrypted apps that, according to the prosecutor, can be linked to the suspect.
"It's about serious violent crimes, especially murder missions, but it's also about drug sales," Anna-Sara Karlsson tells Ekot.
The man denies the crime.
