The accident occurred on Thursday afternoon. The man who was traveling in the car was taken to hospital by ambulance.
In the evening, Region Östergötland announced that the man has life-threatening injuries and is being treated in intensive care.
The police are investigating the accident and a preliminary investigation into negligent driving has been initiated, the police write on their website.
