The shooting took place outdoors in a residential area and police are on the scene with several resources. The scene is being searched, including with dog patrols.
The crime scene is cordoned off and we are working, among other things, to talk to witnesses and review surveillance footage, says Anna Lärk, police spokesperson.
She says that police have questioned people who were in the area when the shooting occurred.
"We have initiated a preliminary investigation into attempted murder and aggravated weapons offences," says Lärk.
The shooting was reported shortly before 8 p.m. on Friday. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter.
No one has been arrested.
