The man is 25 years old and is suspected of aggravated drunk driving, aggravated threat against an official and preparation for arson. The man, who is now in custody, was arrested after being shot by police in Gislaved on Friday.
He had then tried to run away from the police, who eventually laid out a spiked mat to stop him. During the arrest, the man was shot and taken to hospital. Since live fire was used, the incident is being investigated by the police's Special Investigations Department.
