"We received a call at 00.40 that a man had been stabbed in an apartment in Sköndal. When we arrived there, the man was found seriously injured. Life-saving measures were carried out before he was taken to hospital by ambulance," says police spokesperson Per Fahlström.
The police have opened a preliminary investigation into attempted murder, and shortly after 4 a.m. a 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the crime.
