A 26-year-old man is sentenced to six years in prison for several rapes against his girlfriend. On one occasion, he poured boiling pasta water on her, reports Kristianstadsbladet.
In July, a relative of the woman alerted the police due to her having varying burn marks, which the boyfriend was suspected of having caused. The man was arrested on Christmas Eve.
The woman has during the trial told that the man was jealous, isolated her, was violent and controlling.
He is convicted of four rapes and six cases of assault. In two of the cases, the assault is considered gross.
The man shall pay 900,000 kronor in damages to the woman.
