A man tried to smuggle in a record large amount of amphetamine this year – now he is sentenced to eight years in prison for extremely serious narcotics smuggling, Malmö district court announces. He will also be deported from Sweden.

It was the Customs Authority that made the seizure of approximately 363 kilos of narcotics in February this year, of which 351 kilos consisted of amphetamine. It is the largest individual seizure of amphetamine that the Customs Authority has made ever, according to the authority.

The 46-year-old man tried to smuggle in the narcotics, which are perceived to be worth 80 million kronor, in a tractor unit from Germany to Malmö.
