The man has admitted to firing the shots into the apartment where two people were present, but claims it was an accident, according to local media. The likely target of the shooting, who is suspected of being involved in gang crime, was not in the residence.

A 23-year-old woman, believed to have coordinated the act, is sentenced by Sundsvall District Court to ten years' imprisonment for, among other things, aiding and abetting attempted murder.

Four more people are sentenced for their involvement in the shooting. Two men, in their 20s, who are said to have transported the weapons from Stockholm to Sundsvall, receive prison sentences of four and a half and two years, respectively, for aggravated weapons offenses and aiding and abetting aggravated weapons offenses.

In addition, two underage boys are sentenced to closed youth care for aiding and abetting attempted murder.
