A man in his 40s is sentenced for raping a younger woman at a bus station in Karlstad in April, reports Värmlands Folkblad.
On surveillance footage, the now-convicted man is seen talking to the woman who was waiting for a bus at around 1 am after a night out. She then followed him to a rest room for drivers adjacent to the station.
The woman claims that she does not remember meeting the man before she was in the rest room and states that he committed an assault on her there.
The man, who claims that he did not understand that the woman was heavily intoxicated, is sentenced to three years in prison for rape and is ordered to pay damages of 215,000 kronor.
