It's been almost two weeks since the Ryanair flight from Thessaloniki, Greece, to Memmingen, Germany, crashed. Something shattered the window in seat 11C, where Ljubisa Karović was sitting. He was saved by his seat belt and fellow passengers holding onto his legs.
Karović's Greek lawyer, Vasilis Tsiaras, describes his client as someone who "lives by mistake":
He ended up at an altitude of 15,000 feet with his head and right arm outside the aircraft - which was travelling at a speed of 600 kilometres per hour, says Tsiaras and continues:
He saw death in the white of his eye, the other world, and came back.
According to Ryanair, the initial results of the investigation into the incident indicate that a foreign object may have damaged the aircraft's engine during takeoff. A more detailed report on the accident will be presented at a later date.
