A 40-year-old man who failed to attend a so-called repetition exercise is sentenced to 14 days in prison, reports P4 Västerbotten.
The man was supposed to have his children at the time and had therefore applied to the Defence Forces to do the repetition exercise at a later time. However, he was denied, but still chose to stay at home. He is convicted of a crime against the total defence obligation.
The penalty scale for a crime against the total defence obligation includes fines or imprisonment, up to one year in peacetime.
