The social worker had previously been involved in decisions to place the 19-year-old’s girlfriend in a Sis home, local media have reported.
A teenage girl was recruited to carry out the attack. In November last year, she poured gasoline on the door of the social worker’s home in northwestern Skåne and set it on fire, but the fire was extinguished without anyone being injured.
The girl was sentenced by the Court of Appeal to juvenile detention for arson. The 19-year-old was also convicted of planning other crimes that were never carried out. He wanted a hand grenade thrown at the social worker’s home and the social worker’s office burned down.
