The man in his 30s also changed his study certificate so that it looked like a diploma, reports P4 Väst.
He claimed a friend helped him change the grade, but said he believed he had submitted the correct grade to University West.
That explanation was rejected by the Vänersborg District Court, which sentenced the man to one month in prison for forgery.
