The man had threatened the police via email and phone. When police were about to arrest him, five officers entered the man's home. He shot at one officer and tried to fire additional shots but failed.
In the district court, he was sentenced to 14 years in prison for the attempted murder of a police officer. The Court of Appeal now says the man should be sentenced for the attempted murder of five police officers.
The district court's sentence of 14 years in prison remains in effect. The man must also pay a total of one million kronor in damages to the affected police officers.
