The man shot at the police when he was about to be arrested – and was then shot himself.
Now the man, who is in his 50s, is being detained for the incident in Karlshamn on Tuesday. He is suspected on probable grounds of attempted murder and serious weapons offenses, reports SVT Blekinge.
The man is still being treated in hospital for his injuries, and according to SVT, he participated in the detention hearing via a link from his hospital bed. The man denies through his lawyer all the allegations directed against him.
The reason the police were going to arrest the man was that he was wanted in his absence in another case.
