The 39-year-old mother of two was found dead in a ditch in Sigtunafjärden in January 2015 after she was reported missing by a worried friend.
Her husband was arrested shortly after she was found, but was released after a month when the evidence was not enough to hold him. Just over a year later, the investigation was closed.
But in late 2024, the police cold case department took up the case and found grounds to investigate further. The man, now 51, was re-arrested in October last year.
"There was a lot of evidence from 2015, but also a number of additional investigative measures that could be taken. Among other things, new investigations were carried out into previously made seizures and technical evidence," says prosecutor Vida Paridad in a press release.
