A man in his 40s was found dead in the water by an island outside Örnsköldsvik on Saturday, reports Örnsköldsviks Allehanda.
He appears to have been swimming and there was a beach nearby, says Mathias Borin, officer at the police's regional command center, to the newspaper.
Some people alerted the police after finding the man in the water at 3 pm. The police have identified the man and notified his relatives.
