The incident occurred during an operation carried out by the police together with medical services.
In connection with this, a situation arose that resulted in the police firing their service weapon, Fredrik Lindström, commander at the regional command center, told VLT.
Police are not releasing any details about the incident, but say the man was not seriously injured.
He had to go to the hospital for a bandage and is doing well under the circumstances, says Commander Anders Holm.
