A man in his 35s has been shot to death on Hisingen in Gothenburg. He was shot with several shots. We make the assessment that this is a part of the conflicts that we have in Gothenburg between different criminal networks, says the police's press spokesperson Fredrik Svedemyr.

The man was shot at 19:00 near a school in Tolered on Hisingen. At the same time, a parent meeting was in progress at the school.

Now, an intense effort is underway to identify who may be involved in this, says Fredrik Svedemyr.

The police have initiated a preliminary investigation into murder, but at present, there is no one arrested or suspected of the deed. They were still on site working at 23:00.

During the evening, traffic was stopped on the major bridges between Hisingen and central Gothenburg, and vehicles were checked. The police also conducted several interviews and are now looking for witnesses to the incident.

In early September, two men were found shot dead in a car in Lunden in eastern Gothenburg.
