The suspect was arrested in the German capital on October 15, police wrote on their website.
"The man arrested in Berlin is a driving force in a network in Stockholm and is suspected of continuing to influence crime from abroad," says Tobias Cederlund of Serious Crime Stockholm South in a press release.
Police describe the arrested man as a so-called "high-priority person" who is a driving force behind serious and systematic violence. He is considered to have been part of and influential within a criminal network in Stockholm County for several years.
German police made the arrest in collaboration with Romanian and Swedish police, with support from Europol, after a long period of intelligence work.
So far this year, 252 Swedes have been arrested abroad.
