The police are investigating the case, but there is no suspicion of a crime. The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has also launched an internal investigation to determine whether anything could have been done to prevent the death.
Several deaths in detention centers and prisons have occurred in just a few months, and the Swedish Prison and Probation Service has previously announced that it is reviewing any connection and whether measures should be taken.
