A man in his 20s is being prosecuted suspected of having raped a woman outdoors in Skelleftehamn.
He is alleged to have bitten and hit the woman as well as taken a stranglehold on her, local media reports. According to the prosecution, he has shown particular ruthlessness and brutality.
The rape occurred in early August this year. It was not considered to be a rape by assault as the woman and the man had been together for a while before the incident.
The man, who denies the crime, is being prosecuted for severe rape.
