It was in January that the police were alerted to a villa in Bälinge outside Uppsala. Two shots had been fired through the patio door, but neither of the two people in the residence was hit.
The man in his 20s is now being prosecuted for the shooting, which turned out to be a misfire, writes UNT.
The shots were directed at the wrong residence and neither of the people in the villa was supposed to be the target – the perpetrator got the wrong information.
The 20-year-old is now being prosecuted for attempted murder. He is also being prosecuted for having shot at a company premises in Uppsala a month earlier.
According to the prosecution, the whole thing is about an extortion racket where someone was demanded almost half a million kronor.
Two more men in their 20s are being prosecuted for aiding and abetting gross extortion, which in turn is said to have acted on behalf of another person who is not believed to be in Sweden.
