After the interrogation, the person is arrested in the case, says the police's press spokesperson Åsa Mjörndal.
In the current situation, the incident is classified as aggravated arson, writes the police on their website.
The rescue service was alerted to the multi-family house around half past eight on Tuesday evening. By then, the fire had started in an apartment – but it then spread to the apartment above and subsequently to the roof.
The fire was so large that a so-called VMA (important message to the public) was issued, and residents in the area were urged to stay indoors and close doors, windows, and ventilation.
The house was completely destroyed, but none of the residents are reported to have been seriously injured in the fire.
