A man in his 60s has died following a police intervention in Gothenburg during the night leading up to Wednesday.
The police were alerted to Järntorgsmotet by several callers just before 4 am when the man was walking on the road and "behaved psychotically".
When the police patrol arrives, we are going to apprehend the man. He is a danger to himself and a danger to others. In connection with this, he gets a heart attack, says police press spokesperson Thomas Fuxborg to TT.
The man was taken to hospital where he was confirmed dead. The incident will be investigated by the special prosecutor's office and is classified as violence against an official as well as causing another person's death without any suspect.
