At 3 p.m., SOS received an alarm that a boat with its engine running had been seen drifting in the river near Hissmofors in Krokom municipality, reports P4 Jämtland.
A major search effort has been underway during the afternoon and evening with dog patrols, helicopters and drones, and according to police it will continue tomorrow.
There is no suspicion of a crime, and a missing-person report has been filed.
