A man in his 20s was stabbed during Saturday evening in Lögarängen in Västerås. The police were alerted about a large brawl at a bathing spot with around 20 people involved shortly after 11 pm.
When we were on our way to the scene, the emergency services called to say that a man who was stabbed had arrived, and after various checks at Lögarängen and after talking to the plaintiff, we have initiated an investigation into attempted murder, says Joar Källman, RLC commander at Police Region Mitt.
The man is seriously but not life-threateningly injured.
He received multiple stab wounds to his arms and torso, says Joar Källman.
The area has been cordoned off and several weapons that were used during the brawl have been seized. At 3:30 am, no one had been arrested.
