A 35-year-old man was seriously injured after being cut in the neck at a pub in Varberg late on Wednesday evening.
We believe he was cut with a broken bottle, but we're not sure yet, that's the working hypothesis, says Magnus Schildt, duty officer at Police Region West.
The alarm about a brawl at the pub came in at 23.30 and when patrols arrived at the scene, only the injured man remained.
He is seriously injured, as it involves stab wounds to the neck, so he was taken to hospital by ambulance, says Magnus Schildt.
The pub was cordoned off and a technical investigation will be conducted on Thursday.
We have many witnesses to the incident and have questioned several, but no one has been arrested, says Magnus Schildt.
