“We have a fairly good picture of what happened. At the same time, there are many investigative measures, interrogations and so on that need to be carried out. Therefore, I cannot comment in detail on the course of events,” says Per Fahlström, press spokesman for the police.
The police received several calls about gunshots at Vårbyparken's football field at 4:50 p.m. on Monday.
“I have no information about whether it was on the football field itself or on a road next to it. But it was connected to this football field,” says Per Fahlström.
He does not want to say anything about the age of the gunshot victim or whether he was conscious when he was taken to the hospital.
A preliminary investigation into attempted murder has been launched and a large number of police patrols are searching for possible perpetrators in the area.
“We have cordoned off a large area for technical investigation, and there are many people to be questioned. We are taking inventory of whether there are any cameras and are conducting door-to-door inquiries.”
According to the police, there were many people in the area.
