Police, emergency services and medical personnel were called to the Gamla Stan metro station at 5 a.m. on Sunday after a person had been hit. The metro was stopped in central Stockholm.
The person who ended up on the tracks miraculously escaped without injury and was able to crawl out from underneath the train himself, the police wrote on their website.
They also wrote that the person was drunk and that surveillance footage shows him taking a wrong step and falling onto the tracks. There are no suspicions of a crime.
