The woman was found dead in a bay in Sigtunafjärden in January 2015. The man was arrested on Wednesday. He has previously been detained in the case.
"The case has been handled by the police's department for cold cases, and investigative measures that have been taken have led to the preliminary investigation against him being reopened and that I now request him to be detained as a suspect for murder", says preliminary investigation leader Vida Paridad in a press release.
What measures these are, Paridad does not want to go into.
The man opposes the prosecutor's application for detention, according to the district court. TT has been in contact with the man's lawyer, who does not want to make any comments.
